About Me

I began my training journey by entering a six month training academy in Chicago under the tutelage of some of the best trainers and canine behavior consultants the city has to offer. My time at PUPS Pet Club was truly eye opening as I not only learned in a classroom setting but also observed in the field, eventually directing sessions on my own. Shortly after graduating the academy, I had the privilege to mentor my own apprentice through to graduation.
I’ve learned and experimented with a variety of techniques and training philosophies: balanced, force-free. etc. I’ve ultimately landed on my Fear-Free model as I’ve found it’s implementation to be the most effective in not only obedience contexts but also behavioral modification contexts. Fully embracing this approach has allowed me to work with dogs and their pet parents in a purely constructive manner.
I don’t believe in the application of tools such as prong collars, E-Collars, choke chains, spray bottles, etc. based on both my ethical beliefs in the field as well as scientific studies that have determined them as more harmful than beneficial in a variety of metrics.
I work with you to build a relationship with your pup based in respect and understanding.
